For smooth brightness and big lazy bass it’s everyone’s first choice. While you get the filter and midrange all I’m interest in is the EQP-1A. Lastly I’ll have to go with the Pultec Passive EQ Collection. So, on to my selection, my top 5 which I expect to actually use in the context of my existing go-to plugins… 1176 Collection Of the DSP plugins which aren’t available natively I do miss some of the UAD-only plugins which aren’t available natively elsewhere, for example the Manley plugins so I’ll watch with interest to see whether they come across in time. I don’t know whether this is the plan, assuming that there is an appreciable amount of work needed to port DSP plugins to Native I’d imagine that the slowest selling DSP plugins won’t come over but I think it’s fair to assume that all the popular stuff will eventually come over, with the possible exception of guitar amps as the latency performance is a major selling point of those. Not all the UAD DSP plugins are available as Native versions.

But when we look to the instruments these are all plugins which have never been available as UAD DSP plugins, though will be familiar to LUNA users. All of these are available on UAD DSP and will be familiar to Apollo users with the exception the Waterfall Rotary Speaker Leslie emulation. A couple of channel strips, tape emulation, and effects. Bundles are not there to make you save money, they exist to make you spend more.So looking at the available content we see a good spread of audio plugins and instruments, Compression is well represented, as you would hope with UAD, likewise EQ. Spending $300 dollars per plugin really shouldn't make you feel lousier than spending 10K to get god knows how many plugins for god knows what use. Point is, if your primary goal is to save money, figure out the plugins you actually really want/need and buy those. And, at the end of the day, you'd have spent more money that you were initially planning in both situations - this is not what I would call saving money. Now if you never or very rarely put those 10 extra plugins to use, you just basically threw $500 out of the window. Now sometimes, this can be a great deal for customers too - instead of spending 1K to get, say 10 plugins, if you can spend $500 more to get 10 more plugins, most of which you actually have an interest for and will end up putting them to use, it's a win-win situation.

Manufacturers bundle plugins because it increases sales, that is, it makes customers to spend more money than they would have otherwise. It seems to me as you don't actually need/want to own absolutely every single UAD plugin but rather that your main concern is buying plugins at the best overall price/overall number of plugs ratio, thinking that you'll actually save the most money this way but seriously, you're only going to spend more money. If your primary goal is actually to save money I feel like you're missing an important point.
